This spring, for the first time ever, I planted flowers at our house! They are at the "old house" as we now refer to the house in the north of the county and were the suggestion of our lovely realtor Cindy Dawson. She said planting some hearty pansies would make everything look more colorful and homey for potential buyers. So, upon her expert advice Annabeth and I planted three pots of pansies and then I promtly forgot about them. But someone else did not...
These are Nanners' flowers. Each time I go out front to get the mail, she runs out to the porch to say "Hi Guys" to the pot on the front porch. Each time we leave to go somewhere, she runs to each of the pots on the patio, smells them, and then heads towards the garage. At the garage door she turns around and waves and waves "ByeBye" and blows kisses to her flowers.
At first I was annoyed, it means planning ahead for extra "Flower Time" for each outing but then I thought, when did I get too busy to enjoy the little things? Why do I not love to look at those little flowers? Why do I not always take the time to thank God for His world? So, I'm attempting more and more to take lots of time for all the little things, like Annabeth's flowers.
